This article a few days ago in the Los Angeles Times caught my eye. Can you tell why?
Yeah, trick question. But look at that: A pug weathervane! Made right in L.A. by a company called American Architectural Weathervane Co.
Be still, my heart.
I have never thought of having a weathervane on our house. They always seemed better suited for farm houses, or New England cottages. But after seeing this, I'm tempted. (Okay, I'm not going to, family mine. Settle down!)
The website for this vendor displays photos of these amazing vanes on top of all types of roofs. Peaked and flat. Shingle and Spanish tile.
And the artistry! Look how cute, how clever these things are!:
They don't know me from Eve, but I'm telling you, go look at their website. It's a visual treat!
